Collection Box – How to get the contents to us

First off, thank you for having one of our Collection Boxes and for raising money for us.
While the Collection Box is made from cardboard, it is strong enough to be used multiple times.  The idea is that once it is full, count up how much money is in the box, then transfer the money to us using PayPal Giving Fund. This is both quick and very easy to do.    If the box at any stage starts to look worn or a bit tatty, please let us know so that we can send you another one out to replace it.

Once you have transferred the money to us, we really would like it if you are willing to put the box back to where you had it before and collect more money. If you would rather not, then that is fine. All we ask is that you flatten the box and place it in the card recycling so that it can be turned into something else and it will help the environment.

 

How to send us the money from your Collection Box

  1. Navigate to www.paypal.com/uk/fundraiser/charity/142218.
  2. On the right side of the screen, type in the amount of money that was in the box (if you would like to give us more, we are always happy to accept more!)
    The below example shows ’10’ as the amount. Once an amount has been entered, click on the button ‘Donate now’ button.

  3. The next screen will ask if you already have a PayPal account or not. If you have a PayPal account, type in your username and password followed by clicking on the button ‘Log In’.
    If you do not have a PayPal account, click on the button ‘Pay with Debit or Credit Card’.

 

The rest of the steps should be straightforward and we have not documented them in case they change and we are not aware.
If you get into any trouble and are unable to send the money to us, please email us (or use our Contact us form) and we will do our best to help.
Once the money has been sent to us, please let us know by using the form at the bottom of this page. We need to know when people transfer money to us as all income needs to be accounted for and we like to keep logs on how well they are doing.
We need this information so we can keep a log of all money coming in and by who.
