NHS Wales Rare Disease Plan

Dr Chris Jones launched the Welsh Government  Wales  Rare Diseases  Plan on February 28th.
It received good media coverage both on TV and in the press. There will be a 12 week consultation process for interested parties to respond. Health minister, Mark Drakeford  has established an Implementation Group to oversee the implementation process and liaise with the NHS and other interests.
There is also a joint UK Group Rare Diseases Advisory  body because of the complexity of the issues highlighted.
This follows the NHS England publication of their Strategy for Rare Diseases on the 26th February. See news item.
