London Marathon 2021 Application Form

When: Sunday 3rd October 2021

Minimum age: 18

Minimum fundraising target: £1,000

About the event

The London Marathon is known around the world as being the UKs biggest and best road races.  More than 40,000 people run the race each year, but getting a ticket is no simple task!

This is one of life’s great challenges: the atmosphere is second to none and the sense of achievement is wonderful

As a fundraising event, nothing can compete with the marathon, with thousands of people taking to the streets many in fancy dress, raising money for causes close to their heart.

We’d love to have you as part of our running team.

What is the London Marathon route?

The first half of the route usually runs just south of the Thames starting at Greenwich and Blackheath. After crossing the river on Tower Bridge, runners pass some of the capital’s most famous landmarks, including the Tower of London and Big Ben, before finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.

With so many landmarks and impressive scenery to see, it’s no wonder the organisers have dubbed it a “historical jog around London”.

We are waiting for the 2021 event route to be confirmed.  Once they have released the information, we will update it here.

The Course

The world-famous London Marathon route has remained largely unchanged since the inaugural race in 1981 and encompasses many of the capital’s most mesmerising landmarks, old and new.  To view the map which includes landmarks, the mile markers and elevation profile, click here.  For a detailed list of the markers and some great information on what you will be running through, click here.  You can also go direct to the London Marathon’s website here.
